Our work began in 1989, with the rehabilitation of one tiny, injured bat. Since then we have been involved in a variety of conservation initiatives geared directly toward saving thousands of bats and protecting the habitat they need to survive.

Bat World Sanctuary is an entirely volunteer, 501c(3) non-profit organization. Thousands of displaced, orphaned and injured bats are rescued and rehabilitated by Bat World Sanctuary every year. Up to 80% of these bats are returned to the wild again. Bats that are not releasable are given lifetime sanctuary with us. Membership donations help to buy food, medical supplies, and maintain our sanctuaries.

• Join online. Donations of any size receive automatic membership with Bat World Sanctuary.
• Adopt-a-Bat and receive a one-year automatic membership.
• Become a member by fax or mail by sending in our Membership/Donation Form.
